Collin > Initial sketch of a type of zombie found in D.L. Snell's novel 'Roses of Blood on Barbwire Vines'. Made at the author's request. Not quite there. The tentacles should look more like an octopuses and the extra head grown by the parasite looks too happy.
Collin > Second sketch for D.L. Snell's zombie. It's closer to what the author had in mind, however at the stage where the parasite can grow tentacles it also repairs damage with a black, gooey substance.
Collin > Third sketch of D.L. Snell's zombie. Again, when the parasite grows extra limbs and heads it repairs itself, so the facial damage doesn't fit.
Collin > Final sketch for D.L. Snell's zombie. The lines have been kept clean because it's going to be finished in Photoshop.
Collin > Stage one of the finishing process for D.L. Snell's zombie. I've added all of the black lines and some gray tones using vector shapes in Photoshop.
